Psychiatric Internships
Project
Volunteers are essential in psychiatric hospitals to provide additional support, compassion, and companionship to patients. They contribute to creating a more therapeutic environment by engaging patients in activities, offering emotional support, and assisting with recreational or educational programs. Volunteers can also help reduce the sense of isolation that some psychiatric patients may experience by providing social interaction and encouragement. Additionally, volunteers contribute to the overall functioning of the hospital by assisting with non-clinical tasks and supporting the efforts of mental health professionals, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.
